Sanata Dharma's Polyclinic is located in the Basement of Administration Building. We can go there by lift or stairs from the Ground of Administration Building. The polyclinic is located between the BAU's shed and the kitchen. In front of the polyclinic, there is an officer's parking lot.

Inside the polyclinic there are two rooms. The first room is the officer's room. There, we can find 2 big cupboard in the left corner, computer, a desk, a balance and some chairs for the patients. Next to the officer's room, there is a medical room. Here we can find a bed for the patient, a fitness bicycle and medical equipment such as an oxygen tube, a roentgen photo box, a first aid box, etc.

The polyclinic not only serves medical checking for the USD's employees but also serves for all members of Sanata Dharma University.

The most Interesting Trip

On Sunday, June 17th 2007, my classmates in X4 and I went to Salatiga. We visited Bakti Luhur Orphanage for social service. It is located at Jl. Walter Monginsidi in Salatiga. We went there by bus which had rent by our class.

We left Yogyakarta at 06.30 AM and arrived in Salatiga at 09.30 AM. When arrived at Bakti Luhur Orphanage, I was surprised because the inhabitants in this orphanage had physical and mentally defeft. I didn't estimate that! Cause I thought we visited an orphanage with normal kids without father/mother as the inhabitants.

During our visit which took time more than 3 hours I saw many experience for me. For example, I saw a little girl who is hyperactive asked us to give her hugs and she gave us kisses in our cheeks. If we didn't, she would become angry. So, we just followed her wishes. I also saw a baby who suffered Hydrocephalus. You know what is it? Yep, it is a kind of disease which attacks the head, so the head becomes big and bigger than the body. Poor boy... Besides that, I saw women who were middle aged but their attitude were like children. I had time to feed one of them some biscuits. It was new experience for me.

After that visit, we went to Kyai Langggeng in Magelang. We arrived there at 02.00 PM. There we could enjoy the games and see beautiful scenery. I never went there before, so I just followed my friends. Yoga and Danang were the leaders because they had ever gone there before.

First, our group walked down to see Progo river. There, my friends had to take some pictures. When we were back, I felt like climbing a mountain because the street was up and down.

Arriving in the park, we took a rest. After restoring, we saw Barongsai Show which performed by kids and adults. That was interesting show for me. Then we went to the pond, some of my friends rode the swan boats. But, I didn't join them caused I was still tired and wasn't't strong enough to paddle. So, I just watched my friends riding the swan boats.

After satisfied rode the swan boats, my friend asked me to ride Jet Coaster and I accepted her invitation. But, you know what happened? I was so scare! My friends and I screamed during the trip with the Jet Coaster. But, after I rode it, that feeling was lost. Even, I rode it twice! It was cool and unforgetable experience!

At 05.00 PM, we went back to Yogyakarta. Wew, it was a tiring day, but we were happy.

English Welcoming Days 2009

On August 29th and 30th 2009, all the new students of PBI 2009 of Sanata Dharma University had an activity named English Welcoming Days (EWD). The purpose of this activity is to strengthen friendship among the PBI's students.

A week before EWD, we had had technical meeting named Pre-EWD. Here, we had been acquainted with our friends in our group, all of the committee of EWD 2009, and also had discussed our group's yell and talent show with group partner.

During that week, we had used the time to practice our group's yell and also our talent show.
On August 29th, we were gathered in the hall at 7.30 AM. Here, we had the last practice about talent show and we had lunch with our tent's friends. At 1.00 PM, we went to Wonogondang by busses.

Arrived at Wonogondang, we took a rest and then went to our tent. The committee gave us more than 2 hours to take a rest and if we wanted to take a bath that's allowed.

At 5.00 PM, we were gathered in the field in front of the stage. Here, we sang the jingle of EWD 2009 which was exciting to sing. After sang the jingle more than 2 times, MC asked us to perform our group's yell. When my group performed our yell, the audiences laughed because our group leader, Rengga, followed us to sing although he had not a practice yet.

After had a dinner, the committee ignited the campfire and we sat around it to warm ourselves. In the stage, there were perfomances from EEPRO, X-vaganza (dancers) and some bands. After that performances, we showed our talent in talent show. There was a group whose performance basic Reality Show, another basic some television's advertisements. And my group showed 'Women Boxing Competition'.

Talent show finished at 11.00 PM. Hence, the agenda was tracking. Yes, we walked along the rute in the night. Because on the group 4 and 8 there was no someone who was fasting, so we got the last shift. We went tracking at 2.00 AM and it was so cold there. Before went tracking, we had prayed. The tracking's rute passed the bamboo forests, villages, savanna, some small rivers, bridges and ditches. There was 6 main posts and some small posts. On the first post, we played Magic Ball. On the second post, we played Crazy Bamboo, on the third post, we played Magic Fire, and on the fourth post, we played Leaky Bucket. All of the games incrased our group's cooperative feeling. But, on the fifth post, the Committee asked us to telling the truth if we had problem with them, not only said behind them. At the post 6, the committee asked us to close our eyes with handkerchief. We walked along the street like a train. Suddenly, the committee asked us to sit down and open our right shoes. I was confused, what will happen to us? Suddenly, the committee spilled fresh water into my right foot and washed my foot. They said that it was ceremony to welcome the new PBI's student. We touched about that.

At 8.00 AM till 12.00 AM, we had outbond. The games were not only fun but also increased our teamwork feeling.We enjoyed that so much!

At 4.00 PM we went back to campus. I felt so tired, but I was happy too. EWD 2009 was great, it was unforget experience. Thanks to Sanata Dharma University, PBI, and also all the committee who held this event. Hope it will be better next year! see ya..
